PSG College of Education offers a comprehensive B.Ed. program affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) New Delhi. Since the academic year 2015-16, our B.Ed. course has been structured as a two-year program, adhering to the guidelines provided by NCTE and TNTEU.
The B.Ed. course spans over two years and includes a combination of theory papers and practical aspects.
The practice teaching component is an integral part of the curriculum. It is sixteen weeks in the second year, allowing students to gain hands-on teaching experience under the guidance of experienced educators.
Students can choose from a range of optional subjects, including English, Tamil, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Commerce, Economics, History and Computer Science, in addition to the mandatory theory papers.
Opportunities for students to participate in seminars, workshops and academic conferences to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Assignments are assigned to students to encourage critical thinking, research and application of theoretical concepts into practice.
A continuous assessment mechanism that evaluates students' performance based on various parameters throughout the academic year.
